Stoody Build-Up LH deposit is a low alloy steel designed for low severity metal-to-metal wear. The electrode has a special low hydrogen coating which provides a high strength fusion bond on carbon and low alloy steels. As a base alloy for hardsurfacing overlays or for restoring parts to original dimensions, it provides a weld deposit with excellent compressive strength capable of absorbing heavy impact and/or compressive loads.
An Extensive Family of Repair & Maintenance Products
Today, Stoody is the leader in hardfacing technology and high alloy filler metals. We formulate products that maximize uptime, extend life cycle, and reduce operating costs. The extensive family of Stoody products includes iron, nickel, cobalt, tungsten, chromium, niobium, titanium, and vanadium bearing alloys, as well as a full line of high alloy joining and cladding wires and electrodes.
100 Years of Innovations in Hardfacing
Over 100 years ago, Shelley Stoody and Elder Rice founded Stoody-Rice Welding Co., helping create a whole new industry – Hardfacing . What started with drill bits during the oil boom of the 1920s continued to build through a long history of industry advancements. Stoody's hardfacing innovations continue to shape the industry today.
