OK AristoRod 38 Zn

The non copper coated OK AristoRod 38 Zn is a manganese-silicon alloyed solid wire for GMAW of galvanised steels with an outstanding performance in terms of low porosity, low spatter and low risk of burnthrough. The electrode can be welded with a gas mixture (M20/M21). OK AristoRod 38 Zn delivered in the unique ESAB Octogonal Marathon Pac is excellent for mechanised welding applications.

Where To Buy Request Information

Finally, Work Without Interruption.

Want to reduce the number of rejects and reworks – or eliminate them completely? OK AristoRod 38 Zn is the answer. You’ll get optimized results when you’re welding galvanized steel components. It’s that simple. This means whether you’re using them in transportation, white goods, agricultural tanks and troughs, HVAC systems or construction, you’ll strike that perfect balance between performance and value.

Say Goodbye to Porosity and Spatter…for Good.

When you’re welding galvanized steel, zinc vapour is released, impacting arc stability and leading to excess spatter. If trapped in the weld pool, the vapour causes porosity as the weld solidifies. The good news? With OK AristoRod 38 Zn, you can say goodbye to frustrating porosity and spatter. Through tightly controlled micro-alloying elements, zinc vapour escapes – rather than staying trapped. This translates into zero-to-low porosity, less spatter, and higher quality welds.

Even Better? Virtually No Burnthrough.

Whether caused by heat input, improper travel angle, or travel speed, the bottom line is: you don’t want burnthrough. However, it’s common when it comes to metal cored wires. With OK AristoRod 38 Zn, it’s not a concern. You won’t see any open holes along your weld. You’ll only get consistently higher quality welds without thinking twice about burnthrough. It’s just another reason we’re the solid wire of choice for galvanized steel.

Head to Head, It Stands Taller.

ESAB conducted head-to-head tests against other common options for welding galvanized steel. The results were conclusive: OK AristoRod 38 Zn offers the best performance at the lowest total cost of production. Available in diameters of 0.8, 1.0, and 1.2 mm in 18 kg spools and 250kg Marathon Pacs, less is more with OK AristoRod 38 Zn.
