North Bethesda, Md. – Thermal Dynamics, an ESAB brand, will showcase the Cutmaster A120 with enhanced 1Torch and new 110A PLUS and 70A PLUS consumables on a Swift-Cut Pro plasma table in booth W3801 at FABTECH, October 15 – 17 in Orlando, Florida.
“These new 110A PLUS and 70A PLUS consumables significantly improve automated cutting performance compared to other consumables,” says Dirk Ott, VP – Global Plasma Automation, Thermal Dynamics. “The advantages of the 110A PLUS consumables – two times longer parts life, 30% more piercing capacity on ¾-in. steel and 10% faster cutting speeds – come from leveraging our experience with high-precision technology and gas flow control.”
The advanced 110A PLUS and 70A PLUS consumables include electrode, gas distributor, tip, shield cap and other torch components. At 110A, users can cut thicker plate while boosting productivity with cutting speeds of 100 ipm on ¼ in. steel, 70 ipm on ½ in. steel and 37.5 ipm on ¾ in. steel (an average of 10% faster). Achieving outstanding cut quality over a wide range of thicknesses also reduces the need for secondary operations, increasing productivity.
The Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster A120 air plasma system for mechanized cutting combines durability and performance in a compact, economical package. The Cutmaster A120 features a CNC interface connection that offers “Start/Stop,” “OK to MOVE” and divided arc voltage signals. Dedicated automation software improves cycle time and performance in many applications, and the system automatically detects the type of torch attached.
The SL100SV 1Torch from Thermal Dynamics includes gas ports that eliminate the need for a separate plasma gas distributor and provides longer consumable parts life and better cutting performance. Other benefits of the 1Torch include a valve-in-torch design that reduces cycle time between cuts to increase productivity.
The Cutmaster A120 offers the flexibility to switch between automated and manual plasma cutting simply by connecting an SL60 or SL100 manual 1Torch. This enables fabricators to use a single plasma system for shop and field work, or to manually cut parts when hand-held cutting makes more sense. For location flexibility, A120 systems can use 208-230V or 460V single-phase power, as well as three-phase power. The A120 is the only plasma system in the market that provides 120A cutting power on single phase 208-230V input voltage.
The Cutmaster A120 with new 110A and 70A PLUS consumables works well with the best-in-class Swift-Cut Pro plasma cutting tables, which are available in sizes of 4 x 4, 8 x 4, 10 x 5 and 13 x 6.5 ft. Swift-Cut’s easy-to-use software guarantees that anyone with a basic knowledge of computers can operate the CNC cutting system. Swift-Cut solutions enable fabricators of all sizes to take control and leverage the power of CNC technology to shift from manual to automated cutting operations, bring metal cutting in-house, expand services offerings and improve delivery times compared to manual plasma cutting or handheld power tools.
Thermal Dynamics brings intelligence to the automated plasma table with a suite of fully- integrated components that enable users to orchestrate the fastest cut, best cut and lowest cost per cut regardless of operator experience. Visit www.thermal-dynamics.com to learn more.
