North Bethesda, Md. – Victor, an ESAB brand, introduces the Victor® VCM100 Track Cutting Kit portable, all-in-one oxy-fuel cutting solution in booth #S29025 at FABTECH 2026 in Las Vegas. The VCM100 gives smaller and mobile fabricators access to semi-automated straight-line cutting and beveling, with units starting at less than $2,000. The VCM100 weighs 17 lbs., moves at speeds of 5.9 to 31.5 IPM and can cut steel up to 12 in. thick.
Unlike manual cutting, where maintaining a straight line over long distances can be difficult, the VCM100 travels on a precision gear rack to produce cleaner, more consistent and repeatable cuts with less operator fatigue (view video). The VCM100 sits on top of the plate being cut (as long as it is off the ground) or can be set on a table or sawhorses adjacent to the plate. It connects to 115V power to run the tractor, with speed adjustable by a simple control knob and a start/stop button to initiate torch movement.
“Many fabricators wanted the productivity benefits of automated track cutting but needed a solution that better fits their budgets,” says John Henderson, Director of Sales, Gas Equipment, ESAB. “The VCM100 gives customers an affordable entry point into automated oxy-fuel cutting while delivering the quality and reliability expected from the Victor brand.”
The VCM100 is well suited for fabrication shops, structural steel work, maintenance and repair operations, shipbuilding, construction, and educational applications. As a mechanized option, it enables operators with a less steady hand to be highly productive.
The standard kit includes the VCM100 cutting machine, adjustable torch holder with gear rack, three-hose manifold block (providing the option to use hoses for preheat and cutting oxygen to cut thicker sections), T-grade hoses, counterbalance weight, 5.9 ft track and cutting tip cleaner set (torch sold separately). The deluxe kit includes all of the above, plus the Victor MT210A torch and a 1-1-101 cutting tip. Optional accessories include an attachment for bevel cutting at up to 45 degrees, a second torch and additional track sections for larger applications.
The VCM100 expands Victor's mechanized cutting portfolio by providing an economical entry-level solution, while the premium Victor VCM200 Track Cutting Machine continues to serve high-production applications requiring faster travel speeds, greater versatility and advanced operating features.
