North Bethesda, Md. – ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has launched a full line of Victor® oxyfuel products from its Medalist® Classic outfits that are now available as individual components and smaller combinations. Victor products provide proven safety, performance and durability that its customers depend on by including built-in safety features, rugged construction and outstanding cutting, heating and welding performance with acetylene and alternate fuels.
“We recognize that not all our customers are looking for a complete outfit for their needs,” says Vinicius Nunes Coelho, product manager for ESAB. “Many of our clients simply need a handle or cutting attachment, not the entire package. We now offer the products they want, without overbuying components they do not want or need.”
Products that will be sold as single units include the Victor CA 270 and CA370 cutting attachments and the Victor WH 270 and WH 370 torch handles. The CA 270 cutting attachment has a cutting capacity of 5 in. for light to medium cutting applications like automotive, light fabrication and repair or civil construction. The CA 370 has a cutting capacity of 6 in. for medium to heavy applications like maintenance and repair, heavy fabrication and civil construction. Both cutting attachments have a forged brass head, a 90 degree head angle and are designed for all types of fuel gas usage. The Victor WH 270 and WH 370 torch handles are designed for use with the CA 270 and CA 370 cutting attachments respectively. Both torch handles come with built-in check valves and flash arrestors for safety.
Products that will be sold as combination torch packages include the medium-duty CA 270 cutting attachment with WH 270 torch handle and the heavy-duty CA 370 cutting attachment with WH 370 torch handle. Dedicated to the safety of its users and the people in close proximity, all Victor torch handles come with built-in check valves and flash arrestors giving users added confidence that their tools aren’t just safe — they’re Victor safe.
The new Victor ST300 Medalist, a straight torch for cutting only, will be sold as a complete outfit. For medium cutting applications up to 5 in., the ST 300 includes a 21 in. straight torch, a G350 series oxygen regulator and G350 series acetylene regulator, both with 2.5 in. gauges. These regulators offer the best flow performance of any heavy-duty regulator in its class by maintaining better flow rates as cylinder pressures decay. This enables operators to use more of the gas in the cylinder without sacrificing cutting performance. The torch also has a 90 degree head angle and a forged brass torch head and body for impressive durability.
In addition, ESAB will continue to sell the current line of Medalist packages, including the Victor Medalist 250 and 350 Classic outfits that include the torch handle, cutting and heating attachments, cutting tip, oxygen and acetylene regulators, hose, safety goggles and user manual.
