Purus 46

A copper coated G4Si1/ER70S-6 solid wire for GMAW of carbon-manganese steels. Purus 46 is particularly suited to be used in general construction, automotive components and mobile machinery industries. It has a slightly higher manganese and silicon content than Purus 42 to increase the weld metal strength. The wire may be welded with either a gas mixture or with pure CO2 as shielding gas. Purus 46 is designed to give a clean weld bead with a minimum of silica islands and spatter. The wire is suitable for robotic applications at high deposition rates.

Where To Buy Request Information

Smooth operation.

Purus is ESAB’s most consistent ER70S-6 wire. It’s designed with micro-element control, optimum geometrical properties, and low porosity that makes for an ultra-smooth feed and a stable arc. Whether you buy it by the spool or the drum, Purus delivers the consistency you need to achieve the highest quality welds – every time. Ideal for unparalleled robotic welding results.

Productivity means profitability.

A consistent wire doesn’t just mean a smooth weld. It means less wear. Purus increases tip life and decreases liner wear with less flaking. You won’t need to stop your production line to replace tips as frequently which can impact your entire operation, right down to your profitability.

Reduced clean up.

Less is more with Purus. Because of its wire consistency, Purus can reduce post-weld spatter and silica islands. This means less time spent cleaning up while improving the overall weld quality and finished product.
