Sureweld 7024

Sureweld 7024 is a high speed, heavy-coated, iron powder electrode for high deposition rates on horizontal and downhand welding. Excellent operator appeal, produces equal 45 deg; fillets, thereby eliminating over welding. Excellent bead appearance and self-cleaning slag. This electrode has good weldability and superior mechanical properties. It is particularly useful in obtaining increased penetration with little or no root porosity in horizontal or positioned fillets. Sureweld 7024 is ideal for making high speed horizontal fillet and lap welds on mild and some alloy steels, such as earthmoving and construction equipment, truck bodies, ships, barges and railcars. Sureweld 7024 exceeds the AWS A5.1 elongation % and Charpy V-Notch requirements for 7024-1.

Sureweld: Trusted for Over 100 Years.

Sureweld has been the trusted brand for electrodes for over 100 years. With a full line to choose from, it offers everything from an excellent all-around performer to those for deeper penetration, low heat applications, high deposition and high electrode travel speeds, and hard-to-weld materials. We even offer leading-edge options for ships, bridges, machines bases, truck fabrication, and rolling stocks.

A New and Improved Selection.

With ESAB, we have an expanded line of Sureweld brand Stick welding electrodes, including even more grades – so you have a diverse menu to choose from. We’ve also packaged the 3/32- and 1/8-in. diameter electrodes into 1- and 5-lb. resealable plastic tubes. This makes them the perfect choice for welders who use smaller quantities of a particular electrode grade or who want to use factory-fresh electrodes, every time.

Options for Occassional or Everyday Welding.

Whether you’re a professional welder, or simply an occassional one, our portfolio meets the needs of every common Stick welding application. In fact, our 1/8-in. diameter is the most popular electrode in the world. Sureweld electrodes are also performance-matched with ESAB’s MiniArc Rogue Stick welder, an 18-lb. inverter that offers the industry’s best combination of power, performance and affordability.

A Pocket Full of Star Performers.

You know the top consideration in Stick welding is your choice of electrode. It’s why we’ve developed a line of Sureweld electrodes that are sure to become your go-to choice for a star performance you can count on. Whether you’re welding at home or at work, you can rely on them time and again thanks to top-of-the-line chemistry and easy, color-coded packaging. In fact, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t turn to Sureweld sooner.
